What is Child Dedication?
Child dedication is when parents make a commitment before the Lord and the church to raise their child according to God’s Word and help their child grow spiritually in their journey with God. At REAL, we believe children are a gift from God and are honored to partner with families entrusting them back to God.
“Dedicate your children to God and point them in the way that they should go, and the values they’ve learned from you will be with them for life.” – Proverbs 22:6
What to Expect?
During a child dedication service, our Pastors give a brief teaching with some reading of key Bible passages, and a verbal exchange asking the parents if they agree to raise the child according to several criteria. Our Pastors then pray a blessing over the parents and for each child being dedicated. At the end of the prayer, a child dedication certificate and a children’s bible are given to the family. Child dedications are scheduled throughout the year and take place during our Sunday morning services at 9:15 am and 11:00 am.
